Professionally I am a trumpeter but have been known to moonlight as both a bassist and drummer. Since the age of 16, I have undertaken semi-pro jobs which include Operas, musicals and various other orchestral gigs. These gigs have taken me around Europe and included a few radio and TV bookings. Having completed my degree I realised that life as a classical musician was not for me and as such I became a post grad student at the Leeds College of Music and completed a Post-graduate diploma in Jazz, Contemporary and Popular Music with a view to accessing a more lucrative and buoyant market. Since then I have worked as a professional trumpeter in Europe, America and the Caribbean. I particularly enjoyed working for Royal Caribbean cruise lines as this was a great no-pressure gig with good remuneration and excellent working conditions. Nowadays I am in the very fortunate position of being able to pick and choose the gigs I would like to do which mostly coinsists of small group jazz and big band ensembles.
